Courtesy Call from Performers of "Majestic Nature of Alaska"
2026/10/16
On October 16th, Head Consul Hamada welcomed renowned Japanese narrator Hiroshi Isobe and fellow performers, who are visiting Anchorage to take part in "Majestic Nature of Alaska", a special narrated stage performance honoring the late Japanese photographer Michio Hoshino, co-hosted by our office.
This will be the first time the performance is presented in Alaska, a place Hoshino deeply loved.
During the courtesy visit, Mr. Isobe shared his hope that Hoshino’s photographs and essays would inspire audiences to reflect on environmental issues, extreme weather, the relationship between people and nature, and the threads of connection that bind our communities. Hoshino was known for immersing himself in nature without carrying a gun, approaching wildlife with respect and treating animals as equals.
“Majestic Nature of Alaska” will be performed for the first time in Alaska" on Sunday, October 18, at 4:00 PM at the Sydney Laurence Theatre in Anchorage (FREE ADMISSION!).
We warmly invite everyone to join us for this special performance!
