Head Consul Hamada visits Juneau to meet with Legislators

On March 17, 2026, Head Consul Kiyohiko Hamada visited the Alaska State Capitol in Juneau to meet with a wide array of lawmakers from different districts. Discussions were centered on supplemental budget, education funding, AK LNG, critical minerals, sister city relations, and priorities for each legislator.
 
The Consular Office of Japan in Anchorage looks forward to continued cooperation with the Alaska State Legislature.
