Meeting with Aleut Corporation

On June 2, Head Consul Kiyohiko Hamada and Consular Office staff met with Ethan Tyler VP Public Policy and Lands and Ben Corwin Director of Lands and Natural Resources, of Aleut Corporation in Anchorage to discuss economic development opportunities in the Aleutian region.
Topics included redevelopment efforts in Adak, renewable energy opportunities, telecommunications infrastructure, tourism development, and the ongoing Attu repatriation project. The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange information and strengthen communication regarding areas of mutual interest between Japan and Alaska.
The Consular Office appreciates Aleut Corporation for hosting the discussion and looks forward to continued cooperation in the future.
