Japan-U.S. Grassroots Strategy Meeting in Alaska

On September 4th, the Consular Office of Japan in Anchorage, in partnership with the Japan Alaska Association, co-hosted the first “Japan–U.S. Grassroots Strategy Meeting in Alaska,” bringing together organizations, educators, and business representatives engaged in Japan–U.S. exchange across Alaska.
During the meeting, participants shared updates on their respective activities, current challenges, and future perspectives. They also exchanged views on how they can further collaborate and work together to promote Japan–U.S. exchange in Alaska, including in the areas of Japanese-language education, people-to-people exchange, and business.
The meeting provided a valuable opportunity for participants to deepen their understanding of one another’s activities and explore ways to strengthen cooperation and collaboration moving forward.
The Consular Office of Japan in Anchorage will continue to work closely with our partners to further promote Japan–U.S. exchange and strengthen ties between Japan and Alaska.
