Meeting with Senator Matt Claman

On October 20th, 2026, Head Consul Hamada visited with Senator Matt Claman at his office in Anchorage.
Senator Claman discussed his priorities for the next legislative session, as well as his perspectives on the current state of Alaska LNG and Alaska’s fiscal situation. The two also discussed his insights on the upcoming 2026 midterm elections occurring across Alaska this November, and the possibilities for further Japan-Alaska cooperation in the future.
