Report of the JET Q and A session
2023/6/30

On June 28th (Wednesday) we had a question and answer session with JET members who are scheduled to leave for Japan as Assistant English Teachers (ALTs) and Coordinator for International Relations (CIRs) in August. 4 JET alumni, 3 new JET members, and 2 from the office participated in the event.
The JETAA gave a briefing about teaching methods, driving licenses, pension handbooks, opening bank accounts, taxes, and other subjects necessary for life in Japan. The importance of information sharing with coordinators was also discussed.
The consular office assisted the JET members in filling out their visa application forms and photographs, and the meeting lasted for two hours.
An additional pre-departure orientation will be held in July.
