The Consular Office in Anchorage receives the “Friend of World Language Award” from AFLA

On October 7, the Consular Office in Anchorage was recognized and conferred with the “Friend of World Language Award” for its active contributions to Alaska and Alaskans at an awards ceremony held during the State World Language Conference hosted by AFLA (Alaskans for Language Acquisition).
This AFLA conference was attended by 87 teachers and approximately 90 people including guest speakers, and was a three-day event filled with energetic discussions by teachers who are passionate about language education. In terms of Japanese language, 15 teachers (including interns) from Fairbanks, Palmer, Wasilla, and Anchorage attended.
The Consular Office of Japan in Anchorage would like to express its gratitude for this recognition and for the warm support from the people of AFLA.
