Hello!
I am writing to you again about our sister city event. Our first long-term exchange program between Chitose High and Dimond High has finally started this year. This is an annual program. We sent a student, Ayumu Sato, on August 10th who will stay in Anchorage until the end of next May. It is his first experience abroad. He may face many difficulties, but we are sure that all the experiences he will have will be treasures in his life. We hope he will be enthusiastic and hardworking during this opportunity.

On the other hand, two students from Dimond High arrived in Chitose on August 15th. They are Tiffany Throp and Gauge McClure, both are in the 11th grade. They are very excited about staying in Chitose for 11 months. Today is their first day at school!! I wonder how they were received. They ordered school uniform the other day.  How exciting !  They are going to Taiwan this October as a school trip. It is one of the things they look forward to. We hope they will learn and absorb many good things about Japan through the program.
