On June 19, Head Consul Hamada paid a courtesy call to Sitka Mayor Steven Eisenbeisz.
This year, Sitka and Nemuro, Hokkaido, are celebrating 50 years as sister cities. Mayor Eisenbeisz will lead a delegation that will visit Nemuro in October this year. Head Consul Hamada learned more about Mayor Eisenbeisz’s priorities in office and the Sitka Community Renewable Energy Strategy.
