On July 23, Head Consul Hamada paid a courtesy call to the Lieutenant Governor of Alaska Nancy Dahlstrom.
Head Consul Hamada spoke highly of Lt. Governor Dahlstrom’s work in strengthening economic ties between Japan and Alaska. Lt. Governor Dahlstrom said she is focused on finding proactive solutions to Alaska’s education, energy, and fisheries sectors.
Further discussion was centered on Alaska’s strategic location and its global significance for shipping as well as upcoming elections.
