Head Consul Hamada attends Japan-Alaska Art Exhibit

On May 2, 2025, Head Consul Hamada visited Fairbanks and attended “Conversations with Nature: The Influence of Alaska and Japan on Artists.” Japanese and Alaskan artists proudly displayed their work showing the deep impression Alaska has on clay work, photography, and painting. Head Consul Hamada thanked John Smelter for the invitation, as well as Hajo Eicken, Director of the International Arctic Research Center, for putting on a fantastic event.
