Farewell lunch for 37th term of JET members
2023/8/3

On Wednesday, August 2nd, a farewell luncheon was held for the 37th JET members who will travel from Alaska to Japan.
A total of three people were selected this year.
They are Madison Howard(MIYAGI) and Jonathan Jacobs(Tokyo), both will be working as Assistant Language Teachers, and Anton Risse(NIIGATA) as a Coordinator for International Relations.
The Consular Office of Japan hopes they will demonstrate their abilities and play an active role as an English teacher and in charge of international exchange.
Mr. Aniya, Head of the Consular Office of Japan, and other staff were present. Mr. Aniya gave a message for them not to be timid living in a different culture, and to take on new challenges.
From the JET Alaska Alumni, President and member attended and talked about fun memories and advise they had in Japan, such as getting a driver's license and events they hosted for their kindergarten class.
Recruitment for the 38th term of JET Program will begin this fall. More information will be given at a later date for the opening of the application process. We would like to invite those who are passionate about working overseas, especially in Japan, to apply.
