2024/5/17

On May 15th, 2024, the Consular Office of Japan in Anchorage had the opportunity to meet with the Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development (DOLWD).
The productive discussion covered a wide range of topics crucial to both Japan and Alaska as Head Consul Hamada, Commissioner Catherine Muñoz, and Deputy Commissioner Nelson San Juan spoke. Opportunities for refugees and legal immigrants, tourism, fisheries, workforce development, education, language immersion, and Alaska’s economy as whole were discussed in detail.
The Consular Office of Japan hopes to work closely with the DOLWD to build upon our shared interests and cultural connections.
