On June 20, Head Consul Hamada met with the Sitka Economic Development Association’s Executive Director Garry White.
Executive Director White spoke about Sitka’s diverse economy, specifically its fishing industry, mariculture, tourism sector, hydroelectric projects, and mineral extraction potential. Head Consul Hamada was pleased to learn more about the ways Sitka is working to provide housing and create new jobs.
The Consular Office of Japan looks forward to future cooperation with the Sitka Economic Development Association.
