Courtesy Call to Homer Mayor Ken Castner

On September 9, Head Consul Hamada paid a courtesy call to Homer Mayor Ken Castner.
Homer is celebrating 40 years as sister cities with Teshio, Hokkaido. Head Consul Hamada thanked Mayor Castner for his continuous work in fostering exchanges between the two cities, as well as his work in diversifying Homer’s economy.
After the meeting, Head Consul Hamada, together with Sister City Coordinator Megumi Beams, had a privilege of giving a presentation at the Homer City Council meeting about how Homer can strive to increase exchanges with Teshio, and how both cities can learn from the Anchorage-Chitose sister city relationship.
The Consular Office looks forward to continued cooperation with Mayor Castner and the City of Homer.
