Head Consul Hamada met with University of Alaska President Pat Pitney and University of Alaska Fairbanks Japanese Language Professors

On July 10, Head Consul Hamad met with University of Alaska President Pat Pitney and separately met with University of Alaska Fairbanks Japanese Language Professors David Henry and Chisato Murakami.
Head Consul Hamada and President Pitney exchanged opinions on several topics such as the University of Alaska’s Arctic leadership initiative, advantages of diversifying Alaska’s portfolio with new sources of energy, and the future of freight being delivered with unmanned flights. Head Consul Hamada is thankful for President Pitney’s active desire to increase the continuance of collaborative research projects at the International Arctic Research Center and for promoting student exchanges between UAF and Japanese universities.
Head Consul Hamada thanked UAF Japanese Language Professors David Henry and Chisato Murakami for their work in Japanese language education and in preparing students for possible futures working for the Japanese Exchange Teaching program.
